    Helene holds a master in International Financial Management from Ecole Supérieure de Gestion et Finance de Paris (ESGF). She has several years of experience working with the buyside providing data, research and tailored solutions in the Nordics and France. As a part of the business development team at Beyond Ratings, Helene primarily covers the Nordic region.

    Dominique Biedermann earned his PhD in economics from the University of Geneva. He was co-founder of the Ethos Foundation in 1997, a Swiss organization dedicated to socially responsible investment, currently comprising more than 200 pension funds. He was successively CEO and chairman of the board of Ethos until June 2018. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Federation of Migros Cooperatives (the largest Swiss retail company) since 2012 and is chairman of the Committee of ethics of the University of Geneva.

    Rodolphe is a HEC-NYU graduate and holds a master of Ecole des Mines de Paris. He worked as a proprietary trader and risk manager on equity derivatives for Société Générale between 1994 and 2001. He then developed his skills in environmental finance and sustainable development while holding managing positions for several public entities (ADEME, Conseil régional d’Aquitaine, Agence Française de Développement)

    Over a 30 year career at S&P Global (Managing Director from 2003), Marie was instrumental in developing the political and economic analysis underpinning the sovereign credit rating criteria. Initially, she focused on regional and local government ratings, but then contributed to all aspects of sovereign analysis and outreach, including the integration of sovereign and country risk in non-sovereign credit ratings. Marie holds a Master in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.

    Nicolas has an extensive experience of risk management for the financial industry after more than 11 years working in the Risk Department of an investment bank. He has developed an expertise in both market and credit risks, as well as regulatory requirements and strategy consulting. Nicolas holds a Bachelor of International Economics from the University of Toulouse and a master’s degree in Finance from the University of Lyon.

    After 24 years at S&P -- including the last 11 years as chairman of the sovereign and MLI rating committee -- John joins Beyond Ratings as the Chairman of the Scientific Committee. He reviews and approves analytical methodology for sovereign, sub sovereign, policy-based financial institutions, and corporates for Beyond Ratings. At S&P, John chaired the committee that set and changed ratings on 130 sovereign governments, 26 multilateral lending institutions and financial supranationals, and several dozen national development banks, export credit agencies, and other government related enterprises. He has also led analytical teams on missions to 60 countries. He has spoken at conferences hosted by the IMF, World Bank, Federal Reserve, Bank of England, FDIC, OECD, Brazilian Treasury, Federation of Korean Industries, InterAmerican Development Bank, Corporacion Andina de Fomento, AfriEximbank, and most recently at the United Way Worldwide. He has appeared on Morning Joe, Charlie Rose, CNBC, Bloomberg, ABC. He has been quoted by the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Washington Post. He was formerly a reviewer for the CFA Institute and a Visiting Scholar at the IMF.

    Sylvain started his career in strategy consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton and Roland Berger, and rapidly moved to the world of entrepreneurship. He developed Enerdata, a leading international provider of energy data and modeling for over 180 countries, for 10 years, as the CEO and major shareholder. He accompanied the management transition when the company was acquired. Sylvain is an ESSEC graduate (MBA).

    Guillaume holds a master in Finance from Sciences Po Paris. He has experience in corporate finance and commercial banking (KPMG, Banque Palatine) and has worked more than 3 years in asset management as an SRI analyst (Oddo Securities, Candriam). Before joining Beyond Ratings, he conducted the SFTE project, a 420 bn€ EU investment program proposal in energy efficiency.

    Ruben graduated from ENSAI (National School of Statistics and Information Analysis) and holds a Masters in Finance from SciencesPo Paris. He began his career with Beyond Ratings at the Statistical and Data Science Cluster. In this context, he was able to participate in various projects at the crossroads between statistics, the environment and finance.

    Élie started in structured finance and credit risk modelling at Fitch Ratings, before furthering his quantitative skills in investment banking at CDC IXIS and the Group Caisses d’Épargne. Élie then had over 12 years different worldwide responsibilities at S&P Global, in rating and methodology for sovereigns, sub-sovereigns and financial institutions, notably head of supranationals. He also taught risk management at Sciences-Po.

    Patrick has been involved in sustainable finance since 2000 after 15 years in commercial and investment banking. He created BNP Paribas’ Renewable Energy & Environment Practice to foster green business opportunities for the Group, then independent consultancy FinÆnviro in order to further pursue such opportunities providing economic & financial advice to institutional and industrial clients. In 2008 he also co-founded SolarNet which developed a portfolio of solar power projects on rooftops in France. Patrick is a member (former Chair) of the steering committee for HEC Paris alumni’s Green Economy Club.

    Claire is a geological engineer graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie (ENSG). She also holds an advanced degree in International Environmental Management from Ecole des Mines ParisTech and Tsinghua University (Beijing). She has experience in the construction, mining and quarrying industries, during which she developed expertise on material quality and environmental rehabilitation. She worked as a risk analyst for SCOR before joining Beyond Ratings.

    Hadrien is an agricultural engineer, trained in the universities of Liège and Gent, in Belgium. He first specialized in agroecology and agricultural economics. In a view to embrace all aspects of sustainability and contribute to the reconciliation between economic development and environment protection, Hadrien started a PhD in ecological economics at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, in France.

    Thomas is an ENSAE (Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics and Finance) graduate and holds a master from the Paris-Nanterre University in International Economics. Within Beyond Ratings, he works on debt sustainability assessment and sovereign risk monitoring, as a member of the economic research team. In 2018 Thomas started a PhD in economics at the University of Paris-Saclay, in France.

    With almost 30 years of experience in SRI research, Valéry began his career at AReSE (now known as Vigeo Paris) as their Senior SRI Analyst and Head of Research. He then went on to hold directorial positions in SRI at another rating agency (INNOVEST) and 3 brokers (CM-CIC Securities, Société Générale, BofA Merrill Lynch). In 2014, he founded Grizzly RI, an innovative research firm which develops ESG and climate/CO2 quantitative models (recently acquired by Beyond Ratings). Valéry is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and has published many academic and professional pieces on SRI.

    Julien is an economist and holds a Ph.D. in macroeconomics and finance from the Paris-Dauphine University. He also graduated a research master’s degree in economic and financial engineering from the Aix-Marseille School of Economics and a specialized master’s degree in finance from ENSAE ParisTech. He was an emerging markets economist (Amundi AM) and has worked on emerging markets vulnerability, global excess liquidity and asset prices

    Emeric is an ENSAE graduate and holds a master from the Ecole des Mines de Paris. He has an extensive experience of statistics, modeling and forecasting (over 17 years). He was previously heading the statistics department at Air France. Within Beyond Ratings, Emeric coordinates our R&D on the financial materiality of ESG indicators and the follow-up of academic publications.

    Hilary has a broad range of experience in environmental policy issues both in Canada and abroad. Originally from Vancouver, she holds a master in Environmental Policy from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia. Hilary worked as business developer for an energy supplier comparison service before joining the business development team at Beyond Ratings in 2017.

    Kevin holds a master in Financial Economics from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University. After an experience within the Economic Research department of Natixis as an Economist Assistant in charge of statistics and databases, he joined Grizzly RI (which has recently merged with Beyond Ratings) in 2017 as a Quantitative SRI Analyst. He deals with quantitative research applied to SRI/ESG issues and participates to the management and optimization of databases.

    Olivier is an economist and holds masters from ESC Tours in Business Administration and IFP School in Energy Economics. He has close to fifteen years of experience as an oil and gas analyst and expert with International Energy Agency (IEA), Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP), Carbone 4 and Energy Funds Advisors. Within Beyond Ratings, Olivier heads the research and analyses on energy and climate resilience.
